Deep Water Solo Rock Climbing in Khao Sok National Park
Deep water soloing offers you a chance to climb in a very natural manner. You are unfettered by rope, gear or a belayer. In other words, you can push your limit without the normal intermittent gear placing. Routes are available for all skill levels. No experienced is needed. Courage is also not necessary. If you prefer to only climb up a little way and jump, that's fine. This sort of thing is always up to you. There is no pressure to climb up any higher than you're comfortable with. You climb from a longtail motorboat or a kayak. For hardcore climbers who wish to push the limits, that option is also available. New routes are constantly available. First ascents are limitless.
If you've dreamed of doing first ascents in the tropics, we can help you realize your dreams. PaddleAsia offers two-day, three-day and longer trips to Khao Sok National Park. There is a minimum of two guests for this trip.
Rock Climbing Day Trip or Two-day trip from Phuket If you have
limited time and want to get away for a quick rock climbing day trip or
two-day trip, we offer a very nice trip to a small park by Phang Nga Town.
There are lots of bolted routes and enough different cliffs to always
be able to climb in the shade. If you choose the two-day option, you will
spend the night at a nice air-conditioned guesthouse and be treated to
some superb Thai cuisine at a riverside restaurant. If you're already in Phuket or Krabi and need to get away from the crowds, this is the perfect opportunity. PaddleAsia Exploratory Rock Climbing Trips
PaddleAsia climbing trips utilize traditional climbing methods, meaning, we place protection (fall protection) in the rock as we go and take it out when we leave. This is no impact climbing and it's the purest form of the sport. For adventurous non-climbers, you can still participate in this unique experience. Dave will teach you how to use rope ascenders to climb the rope as well as teaching you how to abseil back down. Dave is also a seasoned aid climber, meaning, he knows how to use protect to get up cliffs that are either not climbable or are beyond the climbing capacity of the participants. Aid climbing is fun and challenging and it's a great way to learn how to place protection in the rock. Click here to read more about the different types of rock climbing. If unique is what you seek, contact us for more information. We can run any trip with as few as two guests. Single-person trips are available in certain destinations. Click here to read a rock climbing trip report from a ten-day trip.
