This survival day trip takes place on beautiful Koh Yao Noi in Phang Nga Bay.

The survival course is designed to teach you some of the basic fundamentals of setting up a survival camp.

What would you do if you were stranded on a deserted island after a shipwreck or plane crash? Do you have the skills necessary to build a fire, a shelter, and to find food? Let us show you some fundamental survival skills.

Coastal Survival Training Day Trip

You will head out to Koh Yao Noi in the middle of Phang Nga Bay. Your survival guide is Mr. Bao. He is from Koh Yao Noi.

He will take you to a beach area where you'll learn basic survival skills.

Coastal survival day trip program

  • Learn how to use a fire striker to start a fire
  • Learn how to select the best fuel (wood, grass, etc) for building a campfire
  • Boil water in bamboo
  • Boil rice in bamboo
  • Learn rope lashing
  • Build a shelter

This survival course includes transfers from anywhere on Phuket, the speedboat ferry to Koh Yao Noi, land transfer on Koh Yao Noi, all survival gear, lunch, water, and insurance.

If you want more than just a day trip experience, we offer a multi-day jungle survival course in Khao Sok National Park. If you're more interested in bushcraft, we offer that too.

Another wonderful option is to visit the jungle in Phang Nga Province. This is just one hour north of Phuket. The jungle is stunning and there are a variety of hiking routes where you can learn survival skills.

Certification in Paddlesports and First Aid

Dave is an Emergency First Response Instructor and a certified rescue technician through the Rescue 3 International organization. Dave is also a certified Life Guard through the British Canoe Union. View certifications. Paddle Asia guides are EFR certified in CPR, First Aid, and basic life guard training. Mr. Bao, your survival guide, is Emergency First Response certified.
